Homelessness NSW is the peak body for the homelessness sector in NSW. We exist to build the capability of people and the capacity of systems to end homelessness. We have a vision for a future where there is enough quality and safe housing and support services to ensure no one is homeless in NSW.

We work with our members and broad network of partners to understand drivers of homelessness, advocate for solutions, build skills and knowledge, and scale innovation. We are a fast-growing and successful peak organisation. Our team has clarity of purpose. Our people are provided with the right tools to achieve their goals and grow professionally.

A once-in-a-career opportunity

The NSW Government has announced a historic investment of $484.3 million, for housing and specialist supports for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence (DFV). This is the single biggest investment in addressing DFV in the State’s history and will provide $426.6 million over four years to expand the delivery and operation of new women’s refuges through an innovative Core and Cluster model.

Homelessness NSW, working in partnership with Domestic Violence NSW and Aboriginal Community Housing Association are working together to support organisations to participate in the Core and Cluster program. This will include accelerating effective partnerships, engagement, and resources to facilitate robust participation.

Sector Engagement Senior Officer

As an experienced facilitator, your focus on improving partnerships and opportunities will be realised through the delivery of engagement workshops to Specialist Homeless Services across NSW

  • 12-month contract until 30 July 2024
  • SHADS Level 8.1 (Salary range $113,786.40) with additional NFP salary packaging option.
  • Flexible role – hours, and location. 35 hours per week, inter-state travel is a requirement of this position.

Project Support Officer

Senior Policy Officer

This role will provide expert advice and input to the policy initiatives of Homelessness NSW, that aims to develop its capacity for leading policy discussions and addressing homelessness in a way that has a significant impact on social change.

  • Located in Sydney Woolloomooloo (2011) – close to plenty of transit options. With work from home options available.
  • 12-month full-time role – an opportunity for a secondment from a government or Not For Profit (NFP) organisation.
  • Flexible working arrangements on offer as well as NFP salary packaging.
