Zoom online meeting
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted systemic barriers to temporary visa holders accessing social services including housing and homelessness supports in Australia. These barriers to access can traumatise people in acute need and create a cycle of homelessness, or retraumatise victim-survivors of domestic and family violence.
Hosted by Homelessness NSW on Tuesday 9 March 12:30-1:30pm, we joined to discuss the importance of access and rights for temporary visa holders and solutions to ensure safety and support, from the perspective of homelessness service providers and lived experts.
