The Industry Partnership supports seven Communities of Practices (CoP’s) for specialised responses in key areas.
Our CoP’s promote a place where you can share best practice, collaborate to address issues across the sector, contribute to reports and advocacy opportunities and discuss areas of interests and connect with other SHS sector professionals.
We’d love to have you on board.

This CoP is for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Identified workers across NSW that work in the SHS sector. The objective is to provide support and improve outcomes for Aboriginal Workers and individuals. The Aboriginal CoP will do this by drawing on its experience, expertise, networks and consultation with the local Aboriginal community and all stakeholders. The CoP also is the lead voice on establishing The ACCORD and supporting its implementation.

This CoP is comprised of members working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. The purpose is to promote good practice in the delivery of services by SHS’s to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds at individual and system levels.
Participants engage in discussion, reflection and learning, sharing information and practice, networking and collaborating, building capacity, joint advocacy, innovation and problem solving.

The purpose of the LGBTIQ+ Community of Practice is to promote safe and inclusive good practice in the delivery of service to LGBTIQ+ clients and communities. The CoP is aimed at being a space for practitioners to share and gather information and support. The LGBTIQ+ CoP is committed to contributing to open, and honest discussions with respect and discretion.

This is a confidential forum for skilled DFV practitioners in NSW to engage in deep discussion and case-based learning about responding to the DFV client group, and the DFV funding and service delivery environment.

The Youth CoP engages in deep discussion and case-based learning about responding to young people who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. Members will then use their learning to influence practice in their own organisations and the sector.
