Murrumbidgee Accommodation & Housing Service

Murrumbidgee Accommodation & Housing Service offers short-term crisis accommodation and transitional housing to vulnerable people, those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, women experiencing domestic and family violence, young people leaving care, and people with mental health issues living in unsafe conditions.

Narrabri Homelessness Support Service

The Narrabri Homelessness Support Services (NHSS) provides services to those who are suffering with the effects of being homeless and provide crisis accommodation to women and children affected by domestic violence. They offer ongoing support and assistance in a neutral and non-judgmental environment.

Newcastle Womens Domestic Violence Court Advocacy

Newcastle Womens Domestic Violence Court Advocacy (WDVCAS) is funded by Legal Aid NSW to provide information, assistance and court advocacy services to women and children experiencing domestic violence. WDVCAS operates in areas with a high percentage of Aboriginal or people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds and is funded to employ Aboriginal and Multicultural Specialist Workers.

Newtown Neighbourhood Centre

Newtown Neighbourhood Centre provides community support services to the local community and in particular to disadvantaged groups such as the aged, people at risk of homelessness, people with mental illness, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people on low incomes.

Ngunya Jarjum

Ngunya Jarjum was established in 1995 by Bundjalung ELDERS and community members to address the crisis and need for more Aboriginal kinship and foster carers. They strive to keep Aboriginal children in family, on Country and immersed in culture. The organisation has grown from a small Aboriginal foster care support agency to one of the largest Aboriginal community controlled designated agencies under the NSW Office of Children’s Guardian. They are tasked to provide culturally appropriate care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in statutory out of home care. They work within the Bundjalung Nation encompassing the Clarence, Richmond and Tweed Valley areas.

North Shore Women’s Benevolent Association Ltd

North Shore Women’s Benevolent Association Ltd's mission is to establish and operate a hostel to provide crisis accommodation for women and their dependent children escaping domestic violence. The hostel is called Mary’s House.

The NSW Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA) is the peak body for community housing in NSW.
