Third report in ‘Aftershock’ series launches

The Aftershock report series on housing security by Impact Economics and Policy, commissioned by Homelessness NSW, NCOSS, and Community Housing Industry Association NSW, reveals 54,000 NSW households have entered or experienced worsening housing stress since COVID, with increasing homelessness to cost the NSW economy up to $2.5 billion over six years.

Waithood: The Experience of Waiting for Social Housing Report

Australia is confronted by an increasing housing affordability crisis resulting in tens of thousands of people being stuck on the waiting-list for social housing for extended periods. This project is motivated by a need to better understand the lives and circumstances of – people registered on social housing waiting lists (‘waitees’) while they are waiting for social housing.
